Umm Salamah, the wife of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) , said: He who drinks in the vessel of silver in fact drinks down in his belly the fire of Hell.
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of 'Ubaidullah through other chains of transmitters: He who eats or drinks in the vessel of silver and gold, - but there is no mention in any one of them of the words pertaining to eating and gold.
Abdul Rahman reported on the authority of his mother's sister Umm Salamah who said that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: He who drank in vessels of gold or silver he in fact drank down in his belly the fire of Hell.

Hadith Commentary:
Vocabulary of the Hadith:
yajurru jarr:
to gulp down,
with a continuous sound.
Benefits and Issues:
The use of gold and silver vessels,
whether for eating and drinking or for any other purpose, such as making a kohl container or a needle case,
or putting oil in them,
is, according to the majority, prohibited (haram),
because it involves extravagance and wastefulness, and it stirs up feelings of pride, arrogance, and self-admiration in a person.
It also breaks the hearts of the poor and needy, and there is resemblance to the disbelievers in it.

Hadith Commentary:
The word "yujarjiru" is derived from "jarjarah," which is used for the sound made by a camel. When a camel bellows in the desert, this term is applied. Thus, it is understood that in the belly of the one who drinks water from a silver vessel, the fire of Hell will produce a sound like that of a camel. Allahumma a‘idhna minha, ameen.

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
In the Arabic language, "jarjarah" refers to the sound made by a camel when it is being driven.
It is possible that the water turns into fire and boils in his stomach, producing such a sound.
It is also possible that it is the actual sound of the Fire of Hell, because Allah, the Exalted, is capable of all things.
In any case, using vessels made of silver and the like is contrary to the dignity of a Muslim.

Lexical Explanation:
«يُجَرْجِرُ» is derived from «جَرْجَرَةٌ». The sound produced in the throat when water enters the stomach is called «جَرْجَرَة».
Benefit:
In this hadith as well, the use of gold and silver vessels for eating and drinking is prohibited, and for those who do not adhere to this prohibition, there is a warning of the fire of Hell—that such people will be fuel for the fire of Hell.
Hadith Narrator:
SR Sayyidah Umm Salamah radi Allahu anha: ER Her name was Hind bint Abi Umayyah. She was married to Abu Salamah Abdullah bin Abd al-Aswad al-Makhzumi. She accompanied him in the first migration to Abyssinia, and then both came to Madinah. In the Battle of Uhud, Abu Salamah was wounded, and due to that wound, he passed away. After his death, in Shawwal of the 4th year of Hijrah, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam included her among his wives. She passed away in either 59 or 62 Hijri. At that time, she was 84 years old. She was buried in the Baqi' cemetery.

Jurisprudential Points:
➊ Eating and drinking in vessels made of gold and silver is prohibited (haram).
➋ Using the distinctive symbols of the disbelievers and polytheists, or resembling them in those matters which are prohibited by the Book and the Sunnah, is haram.
➌ It is not permissible to make vessels out of gold and silver.
➍ If a vessel breaks, it is permissible to mend it with threads of gold or silver.
The blessed cup of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had broken, and it was mended with threads of silver. This cup was in the possession of Sayyiduna Anas ibn Malik radi Allahu anhu, from which he had given the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam (milk or water) to drink several times. Then Anas radi Allahu anhu intended to remove the iron ring of this cup and replace it with a ring of gold or silver. When Sayyiduna Abu Talhah radi Allahu anhu found out, he said to Sayyiduna Anas radi Allahu anhu: «لاَ تُغَيِّرَنَّ شَيْئًا صَنَعَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم» Do not ever change what the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has done. See: [صحيح بخاري 5638]
➎ Benefit: It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu that it is prohibited to drink from the part of a cup where it is broken. See: [المعجم الاوسط للطبراني 6829 وسنده حسن، نيز ديكهئے سنن ابي داود : 3722]
