The Book of Hunting, Slaughter, and what may be Eaten
باب إِبَاحَةِ مَا يُسْتَعَانُ بِهِ عَلَى الاِصْطِيَادِ وَالْعَدُوِّ وَكَرَاهَةِ الْخَذْفِ:
Chapter: The permissibility of using things that help in hunting and pursuing the enemy, but throwing small pebbles is disliked
Hadith 1954

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مَعْبَد ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا كَهْمَسٌ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ .
This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Kahmas.
