Shaykh Maulana Abdul Aziz Alvi
Hadith Commentary:
Vocabulary of the Hadith:
(1)
Zahireen ‘ala al-haqq:
They will remain steadfast upon the truth,
or, on the basis of the truth, they will prevail over others,
sometimes through strength and power, and sometimes through evidence and proofs.
(2)
Khadhala-hum:
He will not help or support them,
He will oppose them.
(3)
Hatta ya’tiya amrullah:
Until, by Allah’s command, a wind will blow which will seize the soul of every believer, and only the worst people will remain alive, and this will occur near the time of the Day of Judgment,
therefore, in some narrations, it is stated: hatta taqum as-sa’ah,
meaning, until the Day of Judgment is established.
Benefits and Issues:
By the group “zahireen ‘ala al-haqq” is meant
the group of scholars, hadith scholars (muhaddithin), and those who strive in Allah’s cause (mujahideen),
the Ahl al-Hadith continue to defend the religion intellectually, and the mujahideen defend it practically through strength, power, and jihad,
therefore, those scholars and mujahideen who stand firm for Allah’s religion,
they continue to perform intellectual and practical jihad, and will continue to do so,
they alone are its true referents.
According to Imam Ahmad,
Yazid ibn Harun, and Imam Bukhari, by this is meant
the Ahl al-Hadith and the companions of hadith.
