The Book of Jihad and Expeditions
باب قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لاَ نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ».
Chapter: The words of the Prophet (saws): "We (Prophets) have no heirs and whatever we leave behind is charity."
Hadith 1760
This hadith is listed as number 4584 in Maktaba Shamila
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَي بْنِ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْمَكِّيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ .
A similar hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Zinad through a different chain of transmitters.
