Hadith Commentary:
Benefits and Issues:
These hadiths establish that
victory and defeat are in the grasp of Allah,
and without His help, support, and granting of success and aid, Muslims cannot achieve victory merely on the strength of their weapons, because material and apparent means are generally possessed in greater measure by the enemy,
and thus, Muslims cannot compete with them in these aspects.
The only way to confront the enemy is through Allah’s help and support,
which is attained as a result of faith (iman) and righteous deeds (amal salih),
from which, unfortunately, Muslims as a whole are deprived today.
May Allah strengthen their faith and grant them the ability to perform righteous deeds,
ameen.
