Umm Salamah, the wife of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) , used to say that all wives of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) disclaimed the idea that one with this type of fosterage (having been suckled after the proper period) should come to them and said to 'A'isha: By Allah, we do not find this but a sort of concession given by Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) only for Salim, and no one was going to be allowed to enter (our houses) with this type of fosterage and we do not subscribe to this view.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: Principles of Breastfeeding (Rada‘ah),

INNAMA AR-RADA‘ATU MIN AL-MAJA‘AH:
Breastfeeding (rada‘ah) is only considered valid when it satisfies hunger,
that is, when the child’s primary nourishment is milk and other things are given only secondarily.
Therefore, the position of the Mothers of the Believers (azwaj mutahharat) was that breastfeeding only becomes a cause of prohibition (of marriage) as long as the child is actually drinking milk,
that is, within the period of breastfeeding, which is two years.
After this, breastfeeding is not considered valid, and the permission that the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave to Sahla bint Suhail was due to her specific circumstances and was a special concession for her regarding Salim.
