Hadith 1385

وحدثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، وَهَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالُوا : حدثنا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى سَمَّى الْمَدِينَةَ : طَابَةَ " .
Jabir bin ahadeeth (RA) reported that he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say: Allah named Madinah as Taaba.
