باب صِيَانَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ دُخُولِ الطَّاعُونِ وَالدَّجَّالِ إِلَيْهَا:Chapter: Al-Madinah is protected against the plague and the Dajjal entering it
وحدثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ ، وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَأْتِي الْمَسِيحُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْمَشْرِقِ هِمَّتُهُ الْمَدِينَةُ حَتَّى يَنْزِلَ دُبُرَ أُحُدٍ ، ثُمَّ تَصْرِفُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَجْهَهُ قِبَلَ الشَّامِ ، وَهُنَالِكَ يَهْلِكُ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Dajjal will come from the eastern side with the intention of attacking Madinah until he will get down behind Uhud. Then the angels will turn his face towards Syria and there he will perish.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: It is understood from the narration of Musnad Ahmad and Sunan Tirmidhi that the emergence of the Dajjal will be from Khurasan. Then he will pass through Khurasan, where Jews will be residing. After that, he will intend to go to Madinah, which is situated between Syria (Sham) and Iraq. All three of these regions are to the east of Madinah Munawwarah.
