Hadith Commentary:
Benefits and Issues:
During the ‘Umrat al-Qada’ in 7 AH, the polytheists of Makkah had control over the House of Allah (Bayt Allah), and idols were placed inside the Ka‘bah. Therefore, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) did not enter the House of Allah. When the dominance of the Quraysh ended at the conquest of Makkah, and the House of Allah was purified from idols, then the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) entered inside, and enjoyed supplication and prayer.
