Salim bin 'Abdullah reported that 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA) used to send ahead of him the weak members of his household to stay during the night at Mash'ar al-Haram at Muzdalifa. They remembered Allah so long as they could afford, and then they proceeded before the stay of the Imam, and before his return. So some of them reached Mina for the dawn prayer and some of them reached there after that; and as they reached there, they stoned al-Jamra; and Ibn 'Umar (RA) used to say: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) has granted this concession to them.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: On the days of sacrifice, it is unanimously preferable to throw the pebbles at Jamrah Aqabah after sunrise. However, weak individuals who reach Mina at night—if they throw the pebbles after midnight, then according to Imam Ata, Ibn Abi Layla, and Shafi'i rahimahullah, it is permissible. According to Imam Ahmad rahimahullah, Imam Malik rahimahullah, Ishaq rahimahullah, and the Hanafi scholars, it is permissible to throw (the pebbles) after the break of dawn. But according to Imam Mujahid rahimahullah, Thawri rahimahullah, and Nakha'i rahimahullah, the stoning (rami) must be done only after sunrise.
