Hadith 1206

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " خَرَّ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَعِيرِهِ فَوُقِصَ فَمَاتَ ، فَقَالَ : اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ ، وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْهِ وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا رَأْسَهُ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا " .
Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that a person fell down from his camel (in a state of Ihram) and his neck was broken and he died. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) said: Bathe him with water mixed with the leaves of the lote tree and shroud him in his two (pieces of) cloth (Ihram), and do not cover his head for Allah will raise him on the Day of Resurrection Pronouncing Talbiya.
