Hadith 1198

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مِقْسَمٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، تَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " أَرْبَعٌ كُلُّهُنَّ فَاسِقٌ يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَمِ : الْحِدَأَةُ وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ " ، قَالَ : فَقُلْتُ لِلْقَاسِمِ : أَفَرَأَيْتَ الْحَيَّةَ ؟ ، قَالَ : " تُقْتَلُ بِصُغْرٍ لَهَا " .
A'isha, the wife of the Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) said: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Four are the vicious (birds, beasts and reptiles) which should be killed in the state of Ihram or otherwise: kite (and vulture), crow, rat, and the voracious dog I (one of the narrators, 'Ubaid-ullah bin Miqsam) said to Qasim (the other narrator who beard it from 'A'isha): What about the snake? He said: Let it be killed with disgrace.
