The Book of Fasting
باب النَّهْيِ عَنْ صَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ لِمَنْ تَضَرَّرَ بِهِ أَوْ فَوَّتَ بِهِ حَقًّا أَوْ لَمْ يُفْطِرِ الْعِيدَيْنِ وَالتَّشْرِيقَ وَبَيَانِ تَفْضِيلِ صَوْمِ يَوْمٍ وَإِفْطَارِ يَوْمٍ:
Chapter: Prohibition of Fasting for a lifetime for the one who will be harmed by that or who will neglect other duties, or does not break his fast on the two 'Ids or during the days of At-Tashriq; It is better to fast alternate days
Hadith 1159
This hadith is listed as number 2737 in Maktaba Shamila
وحَدَّثَنَاه أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ : بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ ، وَقَالَ : " وَنَفِهَتِ النَّفْسُ " .
This hadith is narrated on the authority of Habib bin Abu Thabit with the same chain of transmitters and he said: "And you would become exhausted."
