Hadith 1138

وحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمَيْنِ : يَوْمِ الْأَضْحَى ، وَيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ " .
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade to observe fast on these two days. 'Id-ul-Adha bi and 'Id-ul-Fitr.
