Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who begs the riches of others to increase his own is asking only for live coals, so let him ask a little or much.
Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: Without necessity or compulsion, merely out of greed and desire for increase in wealth, asking (begging) is impermissible. This will become a cause of humiliation and disgrace for a person on the Day of Resurrection. A person will be deprived of the radiance and beauty of his face’s flesh, and these dirhams will become burning coals of fire for him.
