Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: There is never a day wherein servants (of God) get up at morn, but are not visited by two angels. One of them says: O Allah, give him more who spends (for the sake of Allah), and the other says: O Allah, bring destruction to one who withholds.

Hadith Commentary: Benefits and Issues: One who spends in accordance with the Shariah becomes deserving of the angel’s supplication every day, and one who is miserly and refrains from spending in legitimate circumstances receives the angel’s curse every day. As a result, he cannot become deserving of reward by spending his wealth at the proper time and place.
Rather, that wealth becomes a source of distress for him.
He receives people’s taunts, reproaches, and curses.
