Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Ikrimah that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Khawat bin Jubair towards Banu Qurayza mounted on a horse named Janah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from the Day of the Trench and he had put down his weapons and taken a bath, then Jibreel (Gabriel) came to him and there was dust on his head. He said, "You have put down your weapons. By Allah! I have not put down my weapons." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Then where to?" Hazrat Jibreel replied, "This way!" and he pointed towards Banu Qurayza. The narrator says that then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out towards Banu Qurayza.

Hazrat Hisham narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said on the day of Qurayzah: War is deception.

It is narrated from Muhammad that Huyayy bin Akhtab made a pact with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the condition that he would not help anyone against him, and for this he made Allah the guarantor. The narrator says: Then, when the day of Banu Qurayza came, he and his son were brought. The narrator says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Have they been brought in exchange for the guarantor? Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave an order regarding him. Thus, he and his son were beheaded.

It is narrated from Hazrat Zubair that on the day of Banu Qurayza, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered his parents for me (in supplication) and said: May my mother and father be sacrificed for you.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed Khudri that the people of Qurayza agreed to accept the decision of Hazrat Sa’d bin Mu’adh. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent someone to Hazrat Sa’d. Hazrat Sa’d arrived riding on a donkey. The narrator says: Then when Hazrat Sa’d reached near the mosque, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Stand up in honor of your leader,” or he said: “Stand up for the best among you.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, these people have accepted your decision. Hazrat Sa’d said: The fighting men among them should be killed and their women and children should be taken captive. The narrator says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You have judged according to the decision of the King (Al-Malik). Sometimes the narrator reports this statement: You have judged according to the decision of Allah.

Hazrat Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father that Banu Qurayza submitted to the decision of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Then they referred the decision to Hazrat Sa’d bin Mu’adh. So Hazrat Sa’d bin Mu’adh gave this verdict regarding them: that their fighting men should be killed, their women and children should be taken captive, and their wealth should be distributed. Hisham says: My father informed me that I have heard that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (O Mu’adh!) You have judged concerning them according to Allah Almighty’s command.

It is narrated from Hazrat Amir that the Banu Qurayza shot an arrow at Hazrat Saad bin Muadh and wounded the vein of his arm. Hazrat Muadh prayed, "O Allah! Do not let me die until You grant me retribution from them." The narrator says, then those people agreed to accept the decision of Hazrat Muadh bin Saad. So he gave this verdict: that their fighters should be killed and their women and children should be taken captive. The narrator says, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "You have judged according to God's command."

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abi Awfa that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, invoked this supplication against the Ahzab (the armies of the disbelievers): O Allah! The One Who sent down the Book, the One Who quickly takes account, the One Who defeats the armies, defeat them and shake them.

It is narrated from Hazrat Yazid bin Asam that when Allah Almighty drove away the armies and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned to his home, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) began to wash his blessed head, Gabriel came to him and said: May Allah forgive you. You have put down your weapons, while the angels of the heavens have not put down their weapons? Please come with us to the fortress of Banu Qurayza. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) announced among the people to proceed to the fortress of Banu Qurayza. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl (ritual bath) and he (peace and blessings be upon him) also went with the people to the fortress.
