Hadith 39359
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir that it was the early period of Hazrat Umar’s acceptance of Islam. He says: Hazrat Umar relates: One night, my sister was struck by a she-camel, so I was sent out of the house. Thus, on a cold night, I entered the curtains of the Ka’bah. Hazrat Umar says: Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived and entered at the Black Stone while he was wearing his shoes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) performed prayer for as long as Allah willed, then he turned back. Hazrat Umar says: I heard something the like of which I had never heard before. So I came out and followed behind him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Who is this? I replied: Umar. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Umar! You do not leave me by day nor by night. Hazrat Umar says: I feared that he (peace and blessings be upon him) would supplicate against me. He says: I said: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and indeed you are the Messenger of Allah. He says: He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Umar! Conceal this. He says: I replied: By Him Who has sent you with the truth, I will surely announce it just as I announced polytheism.
