Hazrat Sahl bin Hunaif narrates that I was greatly troubled because of madhi (pre-seminal fluid) and I used to perform ghusl (ritual bath) frequently because of it. I mentioned this matter before the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, so he said: "Wudu (ablution) is sufficient for you because of madhi." Hazrat Sahl says: I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon you! What is the ruling regarding that which has gotten onto my clothes?" He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A handful of water is sufficient for you. Sprinkle it on that part of your clothes where you think madhi has touched."
