Hadith 39008
٣٩٠٠٨ - حدثنا ابن عيينة عن الزهري سمع سهل بن (سعد) (١) يقول: اطلع رجل من جحر في حجرة النبي ﷺ ومعه مِدْرى يحك به رأسه فقال: "لو أعلم أنك تنظر لطعنت به في عينيك، إنما الاستئذان من البصر" (٢).
Hazrat Sahl bin Sa’d narrates that a man peeped into one of the rooms of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a comb with which he was scratching his head. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I had known that you were looking, I would have struck this into your eye. Seeking permission is only for the sake of looking.
Hadith 39009
٣٩٠٠٩ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن حميد عن أنس أن النبي ﷺ كان في بيته، فاطلع رجل من خلل الباب فسدد النبي ﷺ نحوه بمشقص فتأخر (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Anas that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in his house when a man peeped through a hole in the door. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) aimed a comb at him (to strike him), so the man moved back.
Hadith 39010
٣٩٠١٠ - حدثنا خالد بن مخلد عن سليمان بن بلال عن سهيل عن أبيه عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لو أن رجلا اطلع على قوم بغير إذنهم حل لهم أن (يفقأوا) (١) عينه" (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If a person peeps at a people without their permission, it is permissible for them to gouge out his eye.
Hadith 39011
٣٩٠١١ - ٣٩٠٦٤ - حدثنا ابن فضيل عن الأعمش عن أبي قيس (١) عبد الرحمن بن ثروان عن هزيل قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لو أن رجلا اطلع في دار قوم من كوة فرمي بنواة ففقأت عينه لبطلت" (٢).
Hazrat Huzail narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If a person looks into people's house through a skylight and a stone is thrown towards him, and his eye is blinded, then this injury will be without liability. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that compensation will be given.
