Hadith 38901
٣٨٩٠١ - حدثنا حفص عن أشعث عن عدي بن ثابت عن البراء أن النبي ﷺ (أرسله) (١) إلى رجل تزوج امرأة أبيه فأمره أن يأتيه برأسه (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent him to the man who had married his father's wife and ordered that his head be brought to the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
Hadith 38902
٣٨٩٠٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن حسن بن صالح عن السدي عن عدي بن ثابت عن البراء قال: لقيت خالي ومعه الراية فقلت: أين تذهب؟ فقال: أرسلني النبي ﷺ إلى رجل تزوج امرأة أبيه أن أقتله، أو أضرب عنقه (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Bara that I met my maternal uncle and he had a flag with him. I asked: Where are you going? He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has sent me to that man who has married his father's wife so that I may kill him or (he said) I may strike his neck. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: Only the prescribed punishment (hadd) will be applied to this man.
