Hadith 38868
٣٨٨٦٨ - حدثنا حفص عن عبيد اللَّه بن عمر عن نافع عن ابن عمر عن عمر قال: نذرت نذرا في الجاهلية فسألت النبي ﷺ (بعد ما أسلمت) (١) فأمرني أن (أفي) (٢) بنذري (٣).
Hazrat Umar says that I had made a vow during the time of ignorance, so after accepting Islam, I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me to fulfill my vow.
Hadith 38869
٣٨٨٦٩ - حدثنا حفص عن ليث عن طاوس في رجل نذر في الجاهلية ثم أسلم قال: يفي بنذره.
The ruling is narrated from Hazrat Tawus regarding the person who made a vow in the days of ignorance and then embraced Islam, that this person will fulfill his vow. And the statement of (Imam) Abu Hanifa is mentioned as follows: When he embraced Islam, the oath was dropped.
