Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed *ish'ar* (making a wound) on the right side of the *hadi* (sacrificial animal) and applied its blood with his blessed hand.

Hazrat Miswar bin Makhramah and Marwan narrate that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out in the year of Hudaybiyyah with nearly one thousand of his companions. When he reached Dhul-Hulaifah, he garlanded the sacrificial animals, marked them, and entered into the state of Ihram.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited poetry. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's statement has been mentioned that: inflicting a wound is mutilation.
