Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Bara bin Azib narrates that a man came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked: "Can I pray in a sheepfold?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, you can pray." He asked again: "Can I perform ablution with the meat of goats?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No." The man then asked: "Can I pray in a camel pen?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No!" The questioner asked: "Can I perform ablution with the meat of camels?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, do so."

Hazrat Abdullah bin Mughaffal narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Pray in the enclosures of goats, and do not pray in the enclosures of camels, because camels were created from devils.

Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to perform ablution after eating camel meat, and did not command us to perform ablution after eating goat meat. He commanded us to pray in sheep pens, and forbade us from praying in camel pens.

Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you do not find any place except the enclosures of goats and camels, then perform prayer in the enclosure of goats, and do not perform prayer in the enclosure of camels.

It is narrated from Sabrah, the grandfather of Abdul Malik, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Prayer should not be performed in camel enclosures." And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: "There is no harm in it."
