Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim says that if a servant conceals his worship in the same way that he conceals his sin, Allah Almighty will still make it manifest.

Ibrahim says that the predecessors considered abundance in worship to be preferable and regarded deficiency as disliked.

Ibrahim says that when we used to attend a funeral or heard about someone's passing, its effects would remain with us for several days. Because we knew that now such an event had occurred to him that could take him to Paradise or Hell. And you talk about worldly matters at funerals!

Ibrahim narrates that a devout man was with a woman, and an evil thought came to his heart, so he placed his hand on the woman's thigh. Then he was admonished, and he put that hand into the fire until his hand was burnt to ashes.

Ibrahim says that whenever I recite this verse, I remember cool water { وَحِیلَ بَیْنَہُمْ وَبَیْنَ مَا یَشْتَہُونَ }.

Ibrahim Nakha'i wept during his illness of death, so people asked him, "O Abu Imran! What has made you weep?" He replied, "Why should I not weep when I am awaiting the messenger of my Lord, so that he may give me glad tidings of either this thing (Paradise) or that thing (Hell)!"

Hazrat Wasel narrates that Ibrahim Nakha'i saw the governor of Hulwan passing his mounts through a field. He said that committing injustice on the road is better than committing injustice in religion.

Ibrahim, in the commentary of the verse { حَمِیمًا وَغَسَّاقًا } of the Holy Qur'an, says that "ghassaq" is that which will flow from their flayed skins onto their flesh.

Ibrahim and Hazrat Mujahid, in the commentary of the verse { یُنَبَّأُ الإِنْسَان یَوْمَئِذٍ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ } of the Holy Qur'an, state that a person will be questioned about his first and last deeds.

Ibrahim, in the commentary of the verse { وَلَنُذِیقَنَّہُمْ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الأَدْنَی دُونَ الْعَذَابِ الأَکْبَرِ } of the Holy Quran, states that these are the things that will be presented to them in this world.

Hazrat A'mash says that when Ibrahim Nakha'i was reciting the Qur'an and someone would come near him, he would cover it and say that I do not want him to see me always reciting from it.

Ibn Aun narrates that it was said to Ibrahim that Mukhtar bin Abi Ubaid has called him. He applied ointment to his face, took medicine, and did not go to him. He also abandoned them.

Ibrahim says that whoever acquires knowledge for the sake of Allah's pleasure, Allah Almighty will grant him that which will suffice for him.

Ibrahim says that humility is in the heart.

Ibrahim says that the people before you used to wear older clothes and had softer hearts.

Ibrahim says that whoever recites these words ten times in the morning, Allah Almighty will protect him from Satan until the evening, and whoever recites them in the evening, Allah Almighty will protect him from Satan until the morning: I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the evil of the accursed Satan.

Hazrat Mughira states that Ibrahim's shirt used to reach the soles of his feet.

Ibrahim, in the commentary of the verse { لَعَلَّہُمْ یَرْجِعُونَ } of the Holy Qur'an, states that they repent.
