Sayings of Marrah
Hadith 37612
٣٧٦١٢ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن حصين قال: أتينا مرة نسأل عنه فقالوا: مرة الطيب، فإذا هو في علية له قد تعبد فيها ثنتي عشرة سنة.
It is narrated from Hazrat Husain that he says: We came to Hazrat Murrah. We asked about him: People said, "Murrah the Pure?" So he was in his upper chamber in which he had worshipped for twelve years.
Hadith 37613
٣٧٦١٣ - حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي عن شعبة عن الهيثم قال: كان مرة يصلي كل يوم مائتي ركعة.
It is narrated from Hazrat Haisam that he says Hazrat Murrah used to perform two hundred rak'ahs every day.
Hadith 37614
٣٧٦١٤ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن إدريس عن مالك بن مغول قال: سئل مرة (عما) (١) بقي من صلاتك؟ فقال: الشطر خمسون ومائتا ركعة.
It is narrated from Hazrat Malik bin Mughul that he says Hazrat Murrah was asked, "How many prayers do you have left?" He replied: "Half, that is, two hundred and fifty rak‘ahs."
Hadith 37615
٣٧٦١٥ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن مرة: ﴿وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ هَوَاءٌ﴾ [إبراهيم: ٤٣] قال: (متخرقة) (١) لا (تعي) (٢) شيئًا.
It is narrated from Hazrat Marrah regarding { وَأَفْئِدَتُہُمْ ہَوَائٌ}, he says: they will be torn, they will not protect anything.
