Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Abdur Rahman that he said Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) was standing in Mada'in. He delivered a sermon, praised Allah Almighty, and then said: { اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَۃُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ } Beware! The Day of Judgment has drawn near and the moon has split. Beware! The world has announced its departure. Beware! Today is the field of striving and tomorrow is the day of reward. And the end is Hell, and the one who prevails is the one who prevails towards Paradise.

Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: It is sufficient knowledge for a believer that he fears Allah, and it is sufficient falsehood for him that he says "Astaghfirullah" (I seek forgiveness from Allah) and then resumes the same deed.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: People will be gathered in one place in such a way that the sight will pass over them, and the caller will make them hear, and the announcer will announce: O Muhammad! ... before the first and the last ... You (peace be upon him) will reply: "I am present. All good is in Your control and evil is not attributed to You. And guided is only the one whom You have guided. You are the Blessed and the Exalted." Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This is the Maqam-e-Mahmood (the Praised Station).

It is narrated about Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he would enter the mosque, then stand by the circles and say: O assembly of reciters! Keep walking on the (straight) path. If you continue on the path, you will surpass greatly, and if you take the way to the right or left, you will go far astray.

It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she says Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I like that if there is a man to guard my wealth, then the door is closed upon me and no one comes to me until I meet Allah, the Exalted.

It is narrated from Hazrat Khalid bin Rabee’ Absi that he says: When we received news of Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) falling ill, a group from Banu Abs went to him and a group from the Ansar went, and with us was Hazrat Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator says: We reached him during a part of the night. He asked: What time is this? We said: It is such and such time. He said: I seek refuge in Allah from Hell in the morning. Have you brought a shroud with you for me? We said: Yes. He said: Do not make my shroud expensive, for if there is any good with Allah for your companion, he will receive a better shroud in exchange, otherwise, this too will soon be taken away.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Indeed, there is reckoning in the grave and there will be punishment on the Day of Resurrection.

It is narrated from Hazrat Qais that he says: When the shroud of Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) was brought to him, he (may Allah be pleased with him) said: If your brother attains goodness, then very good. Otherwise, at the edge of the grave, they will keep throwing him from one side to the other until the Day of Judgment.

It is narrated from Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding { لِلَّذِینَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَی وَزِیَادَۃٌ}, he said: What is meant is the vision of the Face of Allah Almighty.

It is narrated about Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: There were many days when, if death had come to me, I would not have doubted. But today, there are many such things that I do not know about being among them, and he advised Hazrat Abu Mas'ud. He said: Hold fast to what you know and avoid fickleness in the religion of God.

It is narrated from Abdul Aziz, a nephew of Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him), who says that he heard from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) at the age of forty-five: He says that Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The first thing you will lose from your religion is humility, and the last thing you will lose from your religion is prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jundub bin Abdullah that he says: I sought permission from Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) three times, but he did not grant me permission, so I turned back. Then suddenly his messenger came to me (and brought me). He (may Allah be pleased with him) asked me: What made you turn back? I replied: I thought that you might be asleep. He said: I do not sleep until I have seen the place where the sun rises. The narrator says: I related this to Muhammad, and he said: More than one of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do this.
