Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the Divine command { تَحِیَّتُہُمْ یَوْمَ یَلْقَوْنَہُ سَلاَمٌ}, he says: This is the day when they will meet the Angel of Death. There is no believer whose soul he takes except that he greets him.

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara bin Azib that he said regarding the Divine command { یُثَبِّتُ اللَّہُ الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا بِالْقَوْلِ الثَّابِتِ فِی الْحَیَاۃِ الدُّنْیَا }: "By steadfastness in worldly life, it is meant that when two angels come to a person in the grave, they both say to him: Who is your Lord? The person replies: My Lord is Allah. Then they both ask: What is your religion? He replies: My religion is Islam. Then they ask: Who is your Prophet? He replies: Muhammad (peace be upon him). Hazrat Bara (may Allah be pleased with him) said: This is what is meant by steadfastness in worldly life."

It is narrated from Hazrat Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: {إنَّ اللَّہَ یَأْمُرُکُمْ أَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الأَمَانَاتِ إِلَی أَہْلِہَا } He said: Prayers are also a trust. There is trust in weights, and there is trust in the ritual bath of major impurity. There is trust in measurement, and among the greatest deposits, there is trust.
