Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: A servant does not fear Allah Almighty until he guards his tongue as a treasure.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: We had not yet shaken the dust off our hands after the burial of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when our hearts began to feel strange.

It is narrated from Hazrat Muawiyah bin Qurrah that he says Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: "Whatever message has reached us from our Lord, I do not see any example of it. We have not given up all our family and wealth for it. If He pardons for us something less than the major sins, then what is left for us? The Divine command is: {إنْ تَجْتَنِبُوا کَبَائِرَ مَا تُنْہَوْنَ عَنْہُ نُکَفِّرْ عَنْکُمْ سَیِّئَاتِکُمْ وَنُدْخِلْکُمْ مُدْخَلاً کَرِیمًا }."

It is narrated from Hazrat Muhammad bin Khalid that Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: Not a single morning or evening passes except that every piece of the earth calls out to its neighboring piece, "O my companion! Has a prophet, a truthful one, or a rememberer of Allah passed by you today?" Then some pieces say yes, and some pieces say no.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the Divine Command { فَوَرَبِّکَ لَنَسْأَلَنَّہُمْ أَجْمَعِینَ عَمَّا کَانُوا یَعْمَلُونَ } that he says it refers to "There is no god but Allah."

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he says: Whoever befriends someone for the sake of Allah, Allah Almighty will build a tower for him in Paradise. And whoever taunts his brother to gain worldly benefit, Allah Almighty will clothe him with the garments of Hell. And whoever taunts his brother and eats something thereby, Allah the Exalted will feed him in Hell. And whoever taunts his brother for fame and show, on the Day of Judgment Allah Almighty will make him stand in a place of disgrace and display.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he says: Whenever any two men from among the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) met each other, they would not part after remembering Allah and inviting each other (towards good).

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: If you knew what I know, you would weep more and laugh less.

It is narrated from Hazrat Humaid that he said: We had a long conversation one night. Then we went to Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: You have had a very long conversation tonight. Beware! Conversation at the beginning of the night is harmful for the end of the night.

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that three things accompany the deceased: his family, his wealth, and his deeds. Then his family and wealth return, and one thing remains, that is, his deeds.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that he says: I do not know anything except for prayer.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: There are three things; whoever possesses them will taste the sweetness of faith: That Allah and His Messenger ﷺ are more beloved to him than anything else; that he loves and hates for the sake of Allah; and that if a fire were kindled for him into which he would be thrown, this would be more beloved to him than associating partners with Allah.

It is narrated from Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the Divine command { وَکُلَّ إنْسَانٍ أَلْزَمْنَاہُ طَائِرَہُ فِی عُنُقِہِ }, he says that it refers to his book of deeds.
