Hadith 37381
٣٧٣٨١ - حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان عن التيمي عن أبي عثمان عن سلمان قال: لما خلق اللَّه آدم قال: واحدة لي وواحدة لك، وواحدة بيني وبينك، فأما التي لي فتعبدني لا تشرك بي شيئا، وأما التي لك فما عملت من شيء (جزيتك) (١) به، وأما التي بيني وبينك (فمنك) (٢) المسألة (والدعاء) (٣) وعلي الإجابة (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman that he says: When Allah Almighty created Hazrat Adam, He said: One thing is Mine, one thing is yours, and one thing is between Me and you. What is Mine is that you worship Me and do not associate anyone with Me. What is yours is that whatever deed you do, I will reward you for it. And what is between Me and you is that you ask and supplicate, and I will accept.
Hadith 37382
٣٧٣٨٢ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون عن التيمي عن أبي عثمان عن سلمان قال: كانت امرأة فرعون تعذب بالشمس، فإذا انصرفوا عنها أظلتها الملائكة بأجنحتها، فكانت ترى بيتها من الجنة (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman that he said: The wife of Pharaoh used to be punished by being kept in the sun, but when those people would leave her, the angels would shade her with their wings. Thus, the woman would see her house in Paradise.
Hadith 37383
٣٧٣٨٣ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن نمير عن يحيى بن سعيد عن سعيد بن المسيب أن سلمان وعبد اللَّه بن سلام التقيا، فقال أحدهما لصاحبه: إن لقيت ربك فأخبرني ماذا لقيت منه؟ وإن لقيته قبلك (لقيتك) (١) فأخبرتك، فتوفي أحدهما فلقيه ⦗٣٧٣⦘ صاحبه في المنام، فقال: توكل وأبشر، فإني لم أر مثل التوكل قط -قالها ثلاث مرات (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib that Hazrat Salman and Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam met each other, and one of them said to his companion: If you meet your Lord (before me), then let me know what I should take with me to meet God. And if I meet God before you, I will come to you and inform you. Then one of them passed away, and he met his companion in a dream and said: Have trust (in Allah) and receive glad tidings, for I have never seen anything like what I have seen. He said this three times.
Hadith 37384
٣٧٣٨٤ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عمرو بن مرة عن سالم بن أبي الجعد عن زيد بن (صوحان) (١) عن سلمان أنه ركع ركعتين قبل الفجر، قال: (فقلت) (٢) له، فقال: احفظ نفسك (يقظان) (٣) يحفظك نائما (٤).
Hazrat Zaid bin Suhan narrates about Hazrat Salman that he performed two rak'ahs before Fajr. The narrator says, I asked him, and he replied: If you protect your soul while awake, it will protect you while asleep.
Hadith 37385
٣٧٣٨٥ - حدثنا وكيع عن الأعمش عن (شمر) (١) عن بعض أشياخه عن سلمان قال: أكثر الناس ذنوبًا يوم القيامة أكثرهم كلاما في معصية اللَّه (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman that he said: On the Day of Judgment, the person with the most sins will be the one who spoke the most in disobedience to Allah.
Hadith 37386
٣٧٣٨٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن هشام بن (الغاز) (١) عن عبادة بن نسي قال: كان لسلمان (خباء) (٢) من عباء (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat ‘Ubada bin Nasi that he said: Hazrat Salman had a tent made of a cloak.
Hadith 37387
٣٧٣٨٧ - حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن حبيب بن شهيد عن بن بريدة أن سلمان كان يصنع الطعام من كسبه فيدعو المجذومين فيأكل معهم (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Buraidah that Hazrat Salman used to prepare food from his own earnings. Then he would invite the lepers and eat food with them.
Hadith 37388
٣٧٣٨٨ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن سماك عن النعمان بن حميد قال: دخلت مع خالي عباد على سلمان، فلما رآه صافحه سلمان، وإذا (هو) (١) مقصص، وإذا هو يسف (الخوص) (٢)، فقال (له) (٣): اشتري لي بدرهم فأسفه و (أبيعه) (٤) بثلاثة، فأتصدق بدرهم وأجعل درهما فيه، وأنفق درهما، ولو أن عمر نهاني ما انتهيت (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Nu’man bin Humaid that he says: I went with my maternal uncle ‘Abbad to Hazrat Salman. When Hazrat Salman saw them, he shook hands with them. His hair was very long and he was weaving a mat. Hazrat Salman said: This thing is bought for me for one dirham. I weave it and sell it for three dirhams. Then I give one dirham in charity, spend one dirham on this work, and spend one dirham on my needs. And even if Hazrat Umar forbids me from this, I will not stop.
Hadith 37389
٣٧٣٨٩ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن أبي (ظبيان) (١) عن (جرير) (٢) قال: نزلنا الصفاح فإذا (نحن) (٣) برجل نائم في ظل شجرة قد كادت الشمس تبلغه، قال: فقلت للغلام: انطلق بهذا النطع (فأظله) (٤)، (قال: فأظله) (٥)، فلما استيقظ (إذا) (٦) هو سلمان، قال: فأتيته أسلم عليه قال: فقال: يا جرير تواضع للَّه، (فإن) (٧) من تواضع للَّه رفعه اللَّه يوم القيامة، يا جرير هل تدري ما الظلمات يوم القيامة؟ قال: قلت: لا أدري، قال: ظلم الناس بينهم في الدنيا، ثم أخذ عودا لا ⦗٣٧٥⦘ أكاد أراه بين أصبعيه فقال: يا جرير لو طلبت (في الجنة) (٨) مثل هذا العود لم تجده، قال: قلت: يا أبا عبد اللَّه أين النخل والشجر؟ فقال: أصوله اللؤلؤ والذهب وأعلاه الثمر (٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Jarir that he says: We stopped at the place of Safah, and there we saw a man sleeping in the shade of a tree. The sun was about to reach him. He says: I said to the servant, "Take this leather and shade this man." The narrator says: So he shaded him. Then, when that man woke up, he was Hazrat Salman. The narrator says: I went to him and greeted him with salam. The narrator says: Then Hazrat Salman said, "O Jarir! Adopt humility for the sake of Allah, because whoever adopts humility for the sake of Allah, Allah Almighty will raise him up on the Day of Judgment. O Jarir! Do you know what the darknesses on the Day of Judgment are?" The narrator says: I replied, "I do not know." He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "People's oppression of each other in the world." Then he (may Allah be pleased with him) took a stick—I did not think he would keep it in his hand—and said: "O Jarir! If you search for a stick like this in Paradise, you will not find it." The narrator says: I asked, "O Abu Abdullah! Where will the date palms and other trees be?" He (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Their trunks will be of pearls and gold, and there will be fruit on them."
Hadith 37390
٣٧٣٩٠ - حدثنا محمد بن فضيل عن عاصم عن أبي عثمان عن سلمان قال: إذا كان العبد يذكر اللَّه في السراء ويحمده في الرخاء فأصابه ضر فدعا اللَّه قالت الملائكة: صوت معروف من امرئ ضعيف (فيشفعون) (١) له، وإن (كان) (٢) العبد (لا) (٣) يذكر اللَّه في السراء، ولا يحمده في الرخاء، فأصابه ضر فدعا اللَّه قالت الملائكة: صوت منكر فلم يشفعوا له (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman that he says: When a servant remembers God in times of prosperity and praises Him in times of hardship, then if any difficulty befalls him and he prays to Allah, the angels say, "This is the familiar voice of a weak servant." Thus, they intercede for him. But if he does not remember God in prosperity and does not praise Him in hardship, then when a difficulty befalls him and he prays to Allah, the angels say, "This is an unfamiliar voice." Thus, they do not intercede for him.
Hadith 37391
٣٧٣٩١ - حدثنا أبو (الأحوص) (١) وأبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن صالح بن خباب عن حصين بن عقبة قال: قال سلمان: علم لا يقال به (ككنز) (٢) لا ينفق منه (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Husain bin Uqbah that he says Hazrat Salman said: The knowledge which is not expressed is like a treasure which is not spent.
Hadith 37392
٣٧٣٩٢ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن محمد بن إسحاق قال: حدثني عمي موسى بن يسار أن سلمان كتب إلى أبي الدرداء أن في ظل العرش إماما مقسطا، وذا مال (إذا) (١) تصدق أخفى يمينه عن شماله، ورجلا دعته امرأة (٢) ذات حسب ومنصب إلى نفسها فقال: أخاف اللَّه رب العالمين، ورجلا نشأ فكانت (صحته) (٣) وشبابه وقوته فيما يحب اللَّه ويرضاه من العمل، ورجلا كان قلبه معلقا في المساجد من حبها، ورجلا ذكر اللَّه ففاضت عيناه من الدمع من (خشية اللَّه) (٤)، ورجلين التقيا فقال أحدهما لصاحبه: إني لأحبك في اللَّه (٥).
Hazrat Musa bin Yasar narrates that Hazrat Salman wrote a letter to Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him): "Under the shade of the Throne will be a just ruler, and that wealthy person who, when giving charity, keeps his right hand hidden from his left hand, and that man whom a beautiful and noble woman invites towards herself and he says, 'I fear the Lord of the worlds,' and that man who grows up in such a way that his health, his youth, and his death are spent in the love of Allah and in deeds that please Him, and that man whose heart remains attached to the mosques due to his love for them, and that man who remembers Allah and, due to the fear of Allah, his eyes overflow with tears. And there will be two men who meet each other, and one of them says to the other, 'I love you for the sake of Allah.' And it was also written in the letter: Knowledge is like springs; thus, Allah benefits whomever He wills through it. And wisdom that is not spoken is like a body without a soul, and knowledge that is not acted upon is like a treasure from which nothing is spent, and the example of a scholar is like that of a man for whom a lamp is lit on the path; thus, people benefit from its light and everyone prays for him."
Hadith 37394
٣٧٣٩٤ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن نمير قال: حدثنا عبد الحميد بن جعفر عن أبيه أن ⦗٣٧٧⦘ سلمان كان يقول: إن من الناس حامل داء وحامل شفاء، ومفتاح خير ومفتاح شر (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ja'far that Hazrat Salman used to say: Some people are bearers of illness and some people are bearers of cure. Some people are keys to goodness and some people are keys to evil.
Hadith 37395
٣٧٣٩٥ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الأعمش (عن شمر) (١) عن شهر بن حوشب قال: جاء سلمان إلى أبي الدرداء فلم يجده، فسلم على أم الدرداء وقال: أين أخي؟ قالت: في المسجد، وعليه عباءة له قطوانية، فألقت إليه خلق وسادة، فأبى أن يجلس عليها ولوى عمامته فطرحها فجلس (عليها) (٢)، قال: فجاء أبو الدرداء معلقا لحما بدرهمين، فقامت أم الدرداء فطبخته وخبزت، ثم جاءت بالطعام وأبو الدرداء صائم، فقال سلمان: من يأكل معي؟ فقال: تأكل معك أم الدرداء، فلم يدعه حتى أفطر، فقال سلمان لأم الدرداء ورآها سيئة الهيئة: مالك؟ قالت: إن أخاك لا يزيد النساء، يصوم النهار ويقوم الليل، فبات عنده، فجعل أبو الدرداء يزيد أن يقوم فيحبسه، حتى كان قبل الفجر فقام (فتوضأ) (٣) وصلى ركعات، (٤) فقال له أبو الدرداء: (حبستني) (٥) عن صلاتي، فقال له سلمان: صل ونم، وصم وأفطر، فإن لأهلك عليك حقًا، ولعينيك عليك حقًا (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Shahr bin Hawshab that he says: Hazrat Salman went to the house of Hazrat Abu Darda but did not find him there. So he (may Allah be pleased with him) greeted Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: Where is my brother? She replied: In the mosque, and she was wearing her husband's Qutwani cloak. Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) threw an old cushion towards him. He refused to sit on it, took off his turban, placed it on the ground, and sat on it. The narrator says: Then Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, carrying meat worth two dirhams. So Umm Darda stood up, cooked it, and baked bread. Then she brought the food. Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) was fasting. Hazrat Salman said: Who will eat with me? She said: Umm Darda will eat with you. Hazrat Salman did not let him break his fast alone. Then Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) said to Umm Darda: You have seen his worn-out condition. What has happened to you? She replied: Your brother has no desire for women. He fasts during the day and stands in prayer at night. So he spent the night at their place. Whenever Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to stand (for prayer), Hazrat Salman would stop him, until the time before Fajr came, then he stood up, performed ablution, and offered a few rak‘ahs. The narrator says: Upon this, Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: You have stopped me from my prayer. Hazrat Salman said to him: Pray and sleep. Fast and break your fast, for your family has a right over you, and your eyes have a right over you.
Hadith 37396
٣٧٣٩٦ - حدثنا أبو أسامة قال: حدثنا عثمان بن غياث عن أبي عثمان النهدي عن سلمان وغيره من أصحاب محمد (١) قالوا: إن الرجل يجيء يوم القيامة قد عمل ⦗٣٧٨⦘ عملا يرجو أن ينجو به، قال: فما يزال الرجل (يأتيه) (٢) فيشتكي مظلمة فيؤخذ من حسناته فيعطاها حتى ما تبقى له حسنة، ويجيء المشتكي يشتكي مظلمة فيؤخذ من سيئاته فتوضع على سيئاته، ثم يكب في النار أو يلقى في النار (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman and other companions of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that they say: On the Day of Resurrection, a man will be brought who will have performed such deeds by which he will hope for salvation. The narrator says: But people will keep coming and complaining about the wrongs he committed against them. Thus, from his good deeds, some will be given to the one who complains, until none of his good deeds remain. Then, if another person comes to complain about his wrongs, the complainant’s sins will be taken and placed upon that man’s record. Then he will be thrown face down into Hell, or he will be cast into Hell.
Hadith 37397
٣٧٣٩٧ - حدثنا (معاذ بن معاذ) (١) عن التيمي عن أبي عثمان عن سلمان [قال: (لو بات) (٢) الرجلان أحدهما يعطي (القنيات) (٣) البيض، وبات الآخر يقرأ القرآن ويذكر اللَّه لرأيت أن ذاكر اللَّه أفضل (٤).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman that he says: If a man spends the night by giving a white slave, and another man spends the night reciting the Qur'an and remembering Allah, then in my opinion, the one who remembers Allah is superior.
Hadith 37398
٣٧٣٩٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عمرو بن مرة عن سالم بن أبي الجعد عن زيد بن صوحان] (١) عن سلمان أنه كان إذا تعار من الليل قال: سبحان رب النبيين وإله المرسلين (٢).
It is narrated about Hazrat Salman that when he was sleepless at night, he would say: The Lord of the Prophets and the God of the Messengers is Pure.
Hadith 37399
٣٧٣٩٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن شعبة عن عمرو بن مرة عن عبد اللَّه بن سلمة قال: كان سلمان إذا أصاب شاة من المغنم ذبحها، فقدد لحمها، وجعل جلدها سقاء، وجعل صوفها حبلا، فإن رأى رجلا قد احتاج إلى حبل لفرسه أعطاه، (وإن رأى رجلا احتاج إلى سقاء أعطاه) (١) (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Salma that he says: When Hazrat Salman received a goat from the spoils, he would slaughter it, then cut its meat into pieces, and make a waterskin from its hide, and make a rope from its hair. Then, if he saw someone in need of a horse’s rope, he would give him that rope, and if he saw someone in need of a waterskin, he would give him the waterskin.
Hadith 37400
٣٧٤٠٠ - حدثنا وكيع عن مسعر عن عمرو بن مرة عن أبي البختري قال: صحب سلمانَ رجلٌ من بني عبس فأتى (دجلة) (١) فقال له سلمان: اشرب، فشرب، ثم قال له: اشرب، فشرب، (ثم قال له: اشرب، فشرب) (٢)، ثم قال له: يا أخا بني (عبس) (٣) أترى شربتك هذه نقصت من ماء دجلة شيئا؟ كذلك العلم لا ينفد، فابتغ من العلم ما ينفعك، ثم مر بنهر دَنّ فإذا (أطعمة) (٤) وكدوس تذرى (٥)، (فقال) (٦): يا أخا بني عبس إن الذي (٧) كان يملك خزائنه ومحمد ﷺ (حي) (٨)، وكانوا يمسون ويصبحون وما فيهم قفيز حنطة، ثم ذكر جلولاء وما فتح اللَّه على المسلمين فيها، فقال: (يا) (٩) أخا بني عبس إن اللَّه أعطاكم هذا وخولكموه قد كان يقدر عليه ومحمد حى (١٠).
Hazrat Abu al-Bakhtari narrates that he says: A man from the tribe of Banu Abs was with Hazrat Salman. He came to the river Dijlah (Tigris), so Hazrat Salman said to him, "Drink water." He drank water. Then he said to him, "Drink water." He drank water. Then he said to him, "Drink water." He drank water. Then Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "O brother of Banu Abs! Do you see that your sip has lessened the water of this Dijlah?" In the same way, knowledge is an unending thing. So seek beneficial knowledge for yourself. Then he passed by some canals where there was some food and grains were being blown away in the air. He said, "O brother of Banu Abs! That man who was the owner of its treasures while you were alive, those people would pass their mornings and evenings in such a state that they did not have even a qafeez of wheat among them." Then he mentioned Jalula and the conquests of the Muslims regarding it and said, "O brother of Banu Abs! Allah Almighty has granted you this, although Allah Almighty was capable of this even when Muhammad (peace be upon him) was alive."
Hadith 37401
٣٧٤٠١ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن حبيب عن نافع بن جبير بن مطعم أن حذيفة وسلمان قالا لامرأة أعجمية: أهاهنا مكان طاهر (نصلي) (١) فيه؟ فقالت: ⦗٣٨٠⦘ طهر قلبك وصل حيث شئت، فقال أحدهما لصاحبه: فَقِهَتْ (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Nafi' bin Jubair that Hazrat Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Salman said to a non-Arab woman: "Is there any pure place here where we can pray?" The woman said: "Purify your heart and pray wherever you wish." So one of them said to his companion: "This woman is wise."
Hadith 37402
٣٧٤٠٢ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن (عوف) (١) عن أبي عثمان قال: قال لي سلمان الفارسي: إن السوف مبيض الشيطان ومفرخه، فإن استطعت أن لا تكون أولى من يدخلها ولا آخر من يخرج منها فافعل (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Uthman who says that Hazrat Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: Surely the marketplace is the place where Satan lays eggs and his offspring emerge. So if you can avoid being the first to enter the marketplace and the last to leave it, then do so.
Hadith 37403
٣٧٤٠٣ - حدثنا يحيى بن آدم عن عمار بن زريق عن أبي إسحاق عن أوس بن ضمعج قال: قلنا لسلمان: (يا أبا عبد اللَّه) (١) ألا تحدثنا، قال: ذكر اللَّه (أكبر) (٢)، وإطعام الطعام، وإفشاء السلام، والصلاة والناس نيام (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Aws bin Zim‘aj that he says: We said to Hazrat Salman, "O Abu Abdullah! Why do you not narrate hadith to us?" He said, "The remembrance of Allah is very great: feeding food, spreading salam, and praying while people are asleep."
Hadith 37404
٣٧٤٠٤ - حدثنا (معاذ بن معاذ) (١) عن سليمان التيمي عن أبي عثمان عن سلمان قال: إن اللَّه يستحي أن يبسط إليه عبد يديه يسأله بهما خيرا فيردهما خائبتين (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman that he says: Allah Almighty feels shy that a servant raises his hands towards Him and asks for goodness through them, and Allah Almighty sends him back unsuccessful.
Hadith 37405
٣٧٤٠٥ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الأعمش عن سليمان بن ميسرة والمغيرة بن شبيل عن طارق بن شهاب قال: كان لي أخ أكبر مني يكنى أبا عزرة، وكان يكثر ذكر سلمان، فكنت (أشتهي) (١) لقاءه لكثرة ذكر أخي إياه، قال: فقال لي ذات ⦗٣٨١⦘ يوم: هل لك في (أبي عبد اللَّه؟) (٢) (قد نزل) (٣) القادسية، قال: وكان سلمان إذا قدم من الغزو نزل القادسية، وإذا قدم من الحج نزل المدائن غازيًا، قال: قلت: نعم، قال: فانطلقنا حتى دخلنا عليه (في) (٤) بيت بالقادسية، فإذا هو جالس، بين (رجليه) (٥) خرقة، (وهو) (٦) يخيط زنبيلا أو يدبغ إهابًا، قال: فسلمنا عليه وجلسنا، قال: (فقال) (٧): يا ابن أخي عليك (بالقصد) (٨) فإنه أبلغ (٩).
It is narrated from Hazrat Tariq bin Shihab that he said: I had an elder brother whose kunyah was Abu Azrah. He used to mention Hazrat Salman very frequently. So, after hearing my brother mention Hazrat Salman so much, I became eager to meet him. The narrator says: One day my brother said to me, "Do you wish to meet Abu Abdullah? He is staying at the place of Qadisiyyah." The narrator says: When Hazrat Salman would return from jihad, he would stop at Qadisiyyah, and when he would return from Hajj, he would camp at Mada'in. The narrator says: I said, "Yes (I wish to meet him)." The narrator says: So we set out until we arrived at his house in Qadisiyyah. He was sitting, and in front of him was a piece of cloth. He was either weaving a basket or tanning leather. The narrator says: So we greeted him and sat down. The narrator says: He said, "O nephew! You must have intention, for it is effective."
Hadith 37406
٣٧٤٠٦ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن مسعر عن عمر بن قيس عن عمرو بن أبي قرة الكندي قال: عرض أبي على سلمان أخته (أن يزوجه، فأبى) (١) وزوجه مولاة له يقال (لها) (٢): (بُقَيْرَة) (٣)، قال: فبلغ أبا قرة أنه كان بين حذيفة وسلمان شيء، فأتاه يطلبه فأخبرأنه في مبقلة له، فتوجه إليه فلقيه معه زنبيل فيه بقل، قد أدخل عصاه في عروة الزنبيل، وهو على عاتقه (٤).
Hazrat Amr bin Abi Qurrah Kindi narrates that his father offered Hazrat Salman to marry his sister. He refused and instead married his freed slave woman whose name was Baqirah. The narrator says that Abu Qurrah heard that there was some matter between Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Salman. So Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Salman to call him, but he was told that he was at his vegetable growing place, so he went there and met him. He had a basket with him in which there were vegetables. He had put his stick through the handle of the basket, and that stick was on his neck.
Hadith 37407
٣٧٤٠٧ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن عاصم عن أبي عثمان عن سلمان قال: تعطي الشمس يوم القيامة حر عشر سنين، ثم تدنى من جماجم الناس حتى تكون قاب قوسين، قال: فيعرقون حتى يرشح العرق في الأرض قامة، ثم يرتفع حتى (يغرغر) (١) الرجل -قال سلمان: حتى يقول: الرجل غرغر (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Salman that he says: On the Day of Resurrection, the sun will be given the heat of ten years, then it will be brought close to the heads of the people until it becomes as close as the two ends of a sling. The narrator says: Then those people will sweat until the sweat reaches the height of a man in the earth, then it will rise up until a person will begin to gargle. Hazrat Salman said: Until a person will say: "Ghar ghar."
Hadith 37408
٣٧٤٠٨ - حدثنا أبو خالد عن يحيى بن سعيد عن عبد اللَّه بن هبيرة قال: كتب أبو الدرداء إلى سلمان: (أما بعد، فإني أدعوك إلى الأرض المقدسة وأرض الجهاد، قال: فكتب إليه سلمان: أما بعد) (١)، فإنك قد كتبت إلي تدعوني إلى الأرض المقدسة وأرض الجهاد، ولعمري ما الأرض تقدس أهلها ولكن المرء يقدسه عمله (٢).
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Hubairah that he says: Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to Hazrat Salman. "To proceed! Indeed, I invite you to the Holy Land and the Land of Jihad." The narrator says: Upon this, Hazrat Salman wrote to him, "To proceed! Indeed, you have written that you invite me to the Holy Land and the Land of Jihad. By my life! No land makes its people pure; rather, a person is purified by his deeds."
