Subjugating a Donkey
Hadith 35759
٣٥٧٥٩ - حدثنا أبو داود الطيالسي عن أبي حرة قال: سئل الحسن عن القوم يكونون في الغزو فيأخذون العلج فيسخرونه يدلهم على عورة العدو، فقال الحسن: قد كان يفعل ذلك.
It was asked from Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) that some people who are in battle, they catch a donkey and subdue it, which then takes them against the enemy? He replied that indeed, it used to be done in this way.
Hadith 35760
٣٥٧٦٠ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا شعبة عن أبي عمران الجوني قال: سمعت جندبا البجلي يقول: كنا نأخذ العلج فيدلنا من القرية إلى القرية (١).
Hazrat Jundub al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we used to catch a donkey, and then it would take us from one village to another.
