Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Mak'hool (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a share from the spoils to women, children, and horses.

It is narrated from Hazrat Yazid bin Hurmaz that Najdah wrote a letter to Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and inquired about women, whether women used to participate in jihad with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and whether they received a share from the spoils of war. Hazrat Yazid says that I wrote a letter to Najdah on behalf of Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that you have asked me: Did women participate in jihad with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)? And was there a share for them in the spoils of war? In any case, they used to participate in jihad with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and they were not given a separate share, but they were given something from it.

It is narrated from Hazrat Khalid bin Sihan that four or five women participated in jihad along with Hazrat Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him), among whom was Umm Mujza’ah bint Thawr. She used to give water to the thirsty and bandage the wounded. They were given a share from the spoils of war.

It is narrated from Hazrat Sufyan bin Wahb that Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) distributed the spoils of war among the people. He gave each person one dinar, and set the share of women and men as equal. If there was a woman with a man, he would give one dinar, and if the person was alone, he would give half.

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a pouch was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he distributed it among free women and slave women. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: My respected father would also distribute among the free and the slaves.
