Hadith 35278
٣٥٢٧٨ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا (سفيان عن) (١) منصور عن إبراهيم عن الحسن [قال: سألته عن دعاء الديلم؟ فقال: قد علموا ما يدعون إليه.
Hazrat Mansur (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I asked Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) about inviting the people of Daylam: So he (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Indeed, they already know the matter to which they have been invited.
Hadith 35279
٣٥٢٧٩ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن سعيد عن قتادة] (١) أنه كان لا يرى بأسًا أن لا يدعو المشركين إذا لقيهم، وقال: إنهم قد عرفوا دينكم وما تدعونهم إليه.
Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Hasan Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) stated: There is no harm if, when Muslims meet polytheists, they do not invite them to accept Islam. This is because they already know about your religion and the matters to which you would invite them.
Hadith 35280
٣٥٢٨٠ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا أبو هلالى عن الحسن أنه سئل عن العدو: هل يدعون قبل القتال؟ قال: قد بلغهم الإسلام منذ بعث اللَّه محمدا ﷺ.
Hazrat Abu Hilal (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hasan Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about the enemy: Should they be invited (to Islam) before fighting them? He (may Allah have mercy on him) replied: Since Allah, the Lord of Honor, has sent Muhammad (peace be upon him), indeed the invitation of Islam has already reached them.
