Hadith 35095
٣٥٠٩٥ - حدثنا ابن عيينة عن يحيى بن سعيد عن سعيد بن المسيب أن عمر كان يفرض للصبي إذا استهل (١).
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that when a child would start crying, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would fix his stipend.
Hadith 35096
٣٥٠٩٦ - حدثنا عباد بن (العوام) (١) عن هارون بن (عنترة) (٢) عن أبيه قال: شهدت عثمان (يتأنى) (٣) بأعطيات الناس إن قيل له: إن فلانة (تلد) (٤) الليلة، فيقول: كم أنتم انظروا، فإن ولدت غلامًا أو جارية أخرجها مع الناس (٥).
Hazrat Antarah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I was present with Hazrat Uthman. He (may Allah be pleased with him) used to delay in giving people's grants. If it was said to him: "Such-and-such woman gave birth to a child at night," he (may Allah be pleased with him) would say: "Wait a little, whether she has given birth to a boy or a girl, this will soon become known and the news will become well-known."
Hadith 35097
٣٥٠٩٧ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن عمر بن محمد بن زيد عن أبيه عن جده أنه لما ولد (١) ألحقه عمر في مائة من العطاء (٢).
Hazrat Muhammad bin Zaid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that his father, Hazrat Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), said: When a child was born to someone, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would increase his grant by one hundred dirhams.
Hadith 35098
٣٥٠٩٨ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا سفيان عن أبي (الجحاف) (١) داود بن أبي عوف عن رجل من خثعم قال: ولد لي من الليل مولود، فأتيت عليًا حين أصبح فألحقه في مائة (٢).
Hazrat Abu Al-Jahaf Dawood bin Abi Awf (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a man from the tribe of Khath'am stated: A child was born in my house at night. When morning came, I went to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and he (may Allah be pleased with him) increased it by one hundred dirhams for him.
Hadith 35099
٣٥٠٩٩ - حدثنا ابن عيينة عن عبد اللَّه بن شريك عن بشر بن غالب قال: سأل ابن الزبير (الحسين) (١) بن علي عن المولود فقال: إذا استهل وجب عطاؤه ورزقه (٢).
Hazrat Bishr bin Ghalib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: Hazrat Ibn Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) asked Hazrat Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) about a child. He (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: When the child starts crying or making noise, his monthly allowance becomes obligatory.
Hadith 35100
٣٥١٠٠ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين قال: ثنا (فطر) (١) قال: كنت جالسًا مع زيد ابن علي قلت: كيف صنع هذا الرجل إليكم؟ -عمر بن عبد العزيز-، فمر ابن له صغير فقال: جزاه اللَّه خيرا فقد ألحق هذا في ألفين.
Hazrat Fitr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I was sitting with Hazrat Zaid bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). I asked: How does that man, Umar bin Abdul Aziz, treat you? Just then, one of his young sons passed by. He (Zaid bin Ali) said: May Allah reward him with goodness. Indeed, he increased my grant by two thousand for his sake.
Hadith 35101
٣٥١٠١ - حدثنا إسماعيل بن شعيب السمان عن أم العلاء أن أباها انطلق بها إلى (علي) (١) ففرض لها في العطاء وهي صغيرة (٢).
Hazrat Ismail bin Shoaib Saman (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Umm Al-Ala said: My father took me to Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), so he (may Allah be pleased with him) allotted a share for me in the gift, even though I was a small girl. And he (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The child who eats food and chews pieces of bread is more deserving of this gift than the newborn who suckles at the breast.
