Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Jabir, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that Hazrat Amir, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Six non-Arabs also participated in the Battle of Badr. Among them were Hazrat Bilal, may Allah be pleased with him, and Hazrat Tamim.

Hazrat Abu Najeeh (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that it is reported from Hazrat Qais bin Sa'd (may Allah have mercy on him) that he (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If the religion were suspended at the star Thurayya, even then some people from among the Persians would surely acquire it from there.

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the religion were suspended at the Pleiades star, even then some people from Persia would surely acquire it from there.

Hazrat Qais, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that Hazrat Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, allotted a share of five thousand each to the Arab who participated in Badr and to his slave, and said: I will surely give preference to the people of Arabia over others.
