Hadith 34688
٣٤٦٨٨ - حدثنا ابن إدريس عن إسماعيل عن الشعبي قال: أول من بايع يوم الحديبية أبو سنان الأسدي (١).
Ismail (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Shabi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: On the day of the Battle of Hudaybiyyah, the first person to pledge allegiance was Abu Sinan Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him).
Hadith 34689
٣٤٦٨٩ - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن قال: ثنا حماد بن سلمة عن عاصم بن بهدلة عن أبي وائل أن وقد بني أسد أتوا رسول اللَّه ﷺ فقال: "من أنتم؟ " فقالوا: نحن بنو زنية، فقال: "أنتم بنو رشدة" (١).
Hazrat Abu Wa'il (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a delegation from the tribe of Banu Asad came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked them: "Who are you people?" They replied: "We belong to the tribe of Banu Zaniyyah." Upon this, he (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "You are Banu Rushdah." (Because the word Zaniyyah could lead the mind towards adultery, he gave them the title Banu Rushdah.)
Hadith 34690
٣٤٦٩٠ - حدثنا محمد بن الحسن قال: ثنا الوليد عن سماك بن حرب قال: أدركت (ألفين) (١) من بني أسد قد شهدوا القادسية في ألفين، وكانت راياتهم في يد سماك صاحب المسجد (٢).
Hazrat Waleed (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Simak bin Harb (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I found two thousand men of Banu Asad who participated in the Battle of Qadisiyyah, and their flag was in the hands of Simak, the master of the mosque.
Hadith 34691
٣٤٦٩١ - حدثنا ابن عيينة عن عمرو عن عكرمة قال: جاء علي بسيفه فقال: ⦗١٩٨⦘ (خذيه حميدا) (١)، فقال: النبي ﷺ: "إن كنتَ أحسنتَ القتالَ اليومَ فقد أحسنه سهل بن حنيف وعاصم بن ثابت والحارث بن (الصمة) (٢) وأبو دجانة" (٣).
Hazrat Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) brought his sword and said to Hazrat Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her): "Take this praised one." Upon this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Today you have not fought an excellent battle. Indeed, the excellent fighting was done by Sahl bin Hunaif, Asim bin Thabit, Harith bin As-Simmah, and Abu Dujanah (may Allah be pleased with them)." And Hazrat Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of the Battle of Uhud: "Who will take this sword with its due right?" Hazrat Abu Dujanah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I will take it." And he took the sword and fought with it until he returned it while it had become bent. And he said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)! Have I fulfilled its right?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes!"
