Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the daughter of Hazrat Khalid bin Sinan Al-Absi came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: Welcome, the daughter of my brother, welcome, the daughter of a prophet whom his people had neglected.

Hazrat Abu Ishaq (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Banu Abs! What is your distinguishing mark? They replied: The forbidden (haram). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Rather, your distinguishing mark is "the lawful" (halal).

Hazrat Masood bin Harash, may Allah have mercy on him, who is the brother of Hazrat Rubee bin Hirash, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, asked the people of the tribe of Banu Abs: "Which horse do you find to be the most enduring in battles?" They replied: "The black and red colored horse."
