Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Yahya bin Saeed (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Mu’adh bin Rifa’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Indeed, an angel came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked: What is the status of your companions of Badr among you? Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They are the most virtuous among the people. So the angel submitted: In the same way, among us, those angels are the most virtuous who were present at the Battle of Badr.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you know, indeed Allah Almighty turned His attention towards the participants of Badr and said: Do whatever you wish, verily I have forgiven you.

Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah the Blessed and Exalted turned towards the people of Badr and said: Do whatever you wish. Verily, I have forgiven you.

Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the slave of Hazrat Hatib bin Abi Balta’ah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to complain about Hazrat Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Hatib will surely enter Hell. Upon this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You have lied, he will not enter Hell, because he was present at the Battle of Badr and at Hudaybiyyah.
