Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Indeed, I have seen our people. Surely, we were all people of abundant wealth. And there was no one among us who had more control over himself than Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).

Hazrat Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: There is none among us who found the world except that he became inclined towards it, except Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).
