Narrations Mentioning the Virtue of Salman (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 34503
٣٤٥٠٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح قال: لما بلغ النبيَ ﷺ قولُ سلمان لأبي الدرداء: إن لأهلك عليك حقًا ولبصرك عليك حقًا، قال: فقال: "ثكلت سلمان أمه، لقد اتسع في العلم" (١).
Hazrat Abu Salih (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) heard what Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) had said to Hazrat Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him): "Indeed, your family has a right over you, and your eye has a right over you," the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Salman’s mother be bereaved of him! Surely, his knowledge is vast."
Hadith 34504
٣٤٥٠٤ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن الحسن قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "سلمان سابق فارس" (١).
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Salman (may Allah be pleased with him) is the forerunner among the people of Iran.
Hadith 34505
٣٤٥٠٥ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن عمرو بن مرة عن أبي البختري قال: قالوا لعلي: أخبرنا عن سلمان، قال: أدرك العلم الأول والعلم الآخر بحر ⦗١٤٣⦘ لا (ينزح) (١) قعره، هو منا أهل البيت (٢).
Hazrat Abu Al-Bakhtari (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that people asked Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): Tell us about Hazrat Salman (may Allah be pleased with him). He (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: He attained the knowledge of the people before and after. He was like an ocean whose depth cannot be emptied. He was among our household.
