Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Qais, may Allah have mercy on him, says that I saw the hand of Hazrat Talha bin Ubaidullah, may Allah be pleased with him, which was paralyzed. With that hand, he protected the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on the day of the Battle of Uhud.

Hazrat Musa bin Talha (may Allah have mercy on him) says that indeed I have seen twenty-four wounds on the hand of Hazrat Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) which he received while being with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

Hazrat Saeed bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) is in Paradise.

Hazrat Isa bin Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a Bedouin came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and inquired about those people who have fulfilled their responsibility. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned away from him. He asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again turned away from him. The narrator says: Meanwhile, Talha bin Ubaidullah (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the mosque through the door, wearing two green sheets. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He is among those who have fulfilled their responsibility.

Hazrat Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say on that day, i.e., the day of the Battle of Uhud: "Talha (may Allah have mercy on him) has made it obligatory (Paradise)."

Hazrat Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Hazrat Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) protected the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with his hand, so he received so many wounds that his finger became paralyzed.
