So he related this dream to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet said: "Indeed, the soul certainly meets the soul," or he said, "The soul meets the soul." Yazid, the narrator, is in doubt. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, lowered his head and ordered him to prostrate. So he prostrated on the blessed forehead of the Prophet from behind him.

Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: You will marry a woman who has a son, and she will consume your wealth. He said: I saw a bull coming out of a hole, but then it could not go back into it. Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: This is a big word that comes out of a man's mouth, but he does not have the power to take it back. He said: I saw as if it was being said that Dajjal is emerging, so I began to hide behind walls. Suddenly, I saw behind me that the earth had split open for me, so I entered into it. Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: You will face difficulties in your religion, and Dajjal will soon appear after you.

It is narrated from Hazrat Jarir bin Hazim that it was said to Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) that such-and-such a man laughs. He replied, "Why should he not laugh? When the best of all beings has laughed." It has been narrated to me that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed so much upon hearing a man's dream that I never saw him laugh at anything more than that. Muhammad bin Sirin says, "I know what the dream was and what its interpretation is." That man saw that his head was cut off and he was following it. The head refers to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the man wishes to reach the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) through his deeds, but he cannot reach him.

I saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was on top of the mountain, and beside him was Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was pointing towards Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). I said, "Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. By Allah, Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) has passed away." I said, "Should you not write and send this dream to Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)?" He replied, "I will not inform Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) of the news of his own death."

Another angel met them and began to stop that angel, and he said to me, "Do not be afraid; what an excellent man this is, if only he would pray during a part of the night." The narrator says that after this, he (Ibn Umar) used to offer long prayers at night. Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that he took me near Hell and I was saying, "I seek refuge with Allah from the Fire." I saw that it was like a room, the lower part of which was wide and the upper part narrow, and I saw that many men of the Quraysh were lying in it face down, whom I recognized.
