Hadith 32528
٣٢٥٢٨ - حدثنا (المعلى) (١) بن منصور قال: حدثني يحيى بن حمزة عن يزيد ابن عبيدة عن أبي (عبيد) (٢) اللَّه عن عوف بن مالك الأشجعي قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "الرؤيا على ثلاثة: منها تخويف من الشيطان ليحزن (به) (٣) ابن آدم، و (منه) (٤) الأمر يحدث به نفسه في اليقظة (فيراه) (٥) في المنام، و (منه) (٦) جزء من ستة وأربعين جزءا من النبوة" (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Auf bin Malik Ashja'i that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Dreams are of three types. Some dreams are from Satan to frighten, and some are matters that a person thinks about while awake, so they appear in dreams, and some dreams are the forty-sixth part of prophethood.
Hadith 32529
٣٢٥٢٩ - حدثنا هوذة بن خليفة عن عوف عن محمد عن أبي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ قال: "الرويا ثلاث: (فالبشرى) (١) من اللَّه، وحديث النفس، وتخويف من الشيطان، فإذا رأى أحدكم رؤيا تعجبه فليقصها (أن) (٢) شاء، وإذا رأى شيئًا يكرهه فلا يقصه على أحد وليقم يصلي" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Dreams are of three types; some dreams are glad tidings from Allah Almighty, some dreams are thoughts from the heart, and some dreams are from Satan to frighten. When any of you sees a good dream, he should relate it if he wishes, and when he sees a disliked dream, he should not tell anyone and should stand up and offer prayer.
Hadith 32530
٣٢٥٣٠ - حدثنا أبو معاوية ووكيع عن الأعمش عن (أبي) (١) ظبيان عن علقمة قال: قال عبد اللَّه: الرؤيا ثلاثة: حضور الشيطان، والرجل يحدث نفسه بالنهار فيراه بالليل، والرؤيا التي هي الرؤيا (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Alqamah that Hazrat Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that dreams are of three types: some dreams occur due to the coming of Satan, and sometimes a person talks to himself during the day and sees the same in his sleep at night, and some dreams are true dreams.
