Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Ja'far, who is a food seller, narrates that Hazrat Abu Ja'far said: I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of Satan and kings, and from the evil of non-Arabs and Syrians when they pretend to be Arabs, and from the evil of those Arabs who pretend to be non-Arabs. He was asked: How will the Arabs pretend to be non-Arabs? He replied: When they adopt their ways and customs.
