Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah bin Busr narrates that a man came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to him. Then he brought sattu (roasted barley flour) and ghee in the food, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate it. Then he brought water, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave it to the one on his right. And when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate dates, he would throw the pit like this. And he showed by gesturing on the back of his two fingers. And he said: When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mounted his ride, my father stood up and held the reins of his animal, then said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah for us. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed thus: O Allah! Bless what You have provided for them, forgive them, and have mercy on them.
