Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Sabeeh, who was a freed slave of Banu Marwan, narrates that I heard Hazrat Mak’hool supplicating for a wound in the hoof of an animal in this way: "With the name of Allah, You alone are the Protector, and You alone are the Healer, and You alone are the Everlasting." Then he tied a new strap with a string or some hair and fastened it to the animal for the wound in its hoof.
