Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Nafi’ narrates that whenever Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) came for Hajj or Umrah, he would perform the Tawaf of the Ka’bah and offer two rak’ahs of prayer. In these two rak’ahs, his sitting would be longer than his standing; he would praise his Lord and supplicate. When he finished the two rak’ahs, he would supplicate between Safa and Marwah as follows: O Allah! Protect me through Your religion, through obedience to You, and through obedience to Your Messenger. O Allah! Save me from transgressing Your limits. O Allah! Make me among those whom You love, and whom Your angels and Your Messengers love, and whom Your righteous servants love. O Allah! Make me beloved to You, and beloved to Your angels and Your Messengers. O Allah! Grant me the goodness which You will grant to Your righteous servants in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah! Make things easy for me, and save me from hardship, and forgive me in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah! Grant me the ability to fulfill the promise which You have made to me. O Allah! Make me among the righteous leaders, and forgive my mistakes on the Day of Reckoning.
