ما قالوا: في ليلة النصف من شعبان وما يغفر فيها من الذنوب
Statement: All Sins Are Forgiven on the Fifteenth Night of Sha'ban
Hadith 31848
٣١٨٤٨ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن حجاج عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن عروة عن عائشة قالت: كنت إلى جنب النبي ﷺ ففقدته (فابتغيته) (١) فإذا هو بالبقيع رافعًا يديه يدعو فقال: "يا ابنة أبي بكر (أخشيت) (٢) أن (اللَّه يحيف) (٣) عليك ورسوله، إن اللَّه ينزل في هذه الليلة (ليلة) (٤) النصف من شعبان فيغفر فيها من الذنوب أكثر من عدد شعر معز كلب" (٥).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I was beside the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then I found him missing, so I started searching for him. Suddenly, I saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was raising his hands and supplicating. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O daughter of Abu Bakr! Do you fear that Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) would wrong you? Indeed, Allah descends to the lowest heaven on the fifteenth night of Sha’ban and forgives more people than the number of hairs on the sheep of the tribe of Banu Kalb.
Hadith 31849
٣١٨٤٩ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن حجاج عن مكحول عن كثير بن مرة الحضرمي قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إن اللَّه ينزل ليلة النصف من شعبان فيغفر فيها الذنوب إلا لمشرك أو مشاحن" (١).
Hazrat Kathir bin Murrah Al-Hadrami narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Indeed, Allah descends on the fifteenth night of Sha'ban, then in that night forgives the sins of the people except for the polytheist and the one who harbors malice in his heart.
