Statement: A Muslim's Supplication Is Accepted Unless He Prays for Sin or Severing Ties
Hadith 31808
٣١٨٠٨ - حدثنا جعفر بن عون عن مسعر (عن أبي حصين) (١) عن ذكوان عن أبي هريرة قال: دعوة المسلم مستجابة ما لم يدع بظلم، أو قطيعة رحم، أو يقول: قد دعوت فلم أجب (٢).
Hazrat Zakwan narrates that Hazrat Abu Hurairah said: A Muslim’s supplication is accepted as long as he does not pray for something sinful, or for severing ties of kinship, or says: Indeed, I have supplicated but it was not accepted.
Hadith 31809
٣١٨٠٩ - حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي عن سفيان عن عاصم عن عبيد مولى (أبي رُهْم) (١) قال: مررت (على) (٢) أبي هريرة على نخل فقال: اللهم أطعمنا من ثمر لا (يأبره بنو) (٣) آدم (٤).
Hazrat Ubaid, who was the freed slave of Abu Rahm, narrates: I was passing by a date palm tree with Hazrat Abu Hurairah when he said: O Allah! Feed us such dates which the children of Adam do not cultivate, that is, feed us the fruit of Paradise.
