Ibrahim Nakha'i narrates that a man addressed the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has attained guidance. And whoever disobeys both of them has gone astray. The narrator says: The color of the face of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) changed, and he disliked this. The narrator says: Ibrahim Nakha'i said: The companions disliked that anyone should say: "And whoever disobeys both of them." But it can be said: "And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger."
